**Ezylife 5mg/5ml
- **What it is:** A **stimulant laxative** containing **Sodium Picosulfate**.
- **Uses:**
- Constipation of any cause
- Long-lasting or recurrent constipation
- Bowel cleansing before surgery, childbirth, or radiological tests
- **How it works:** It is activated in the colon and stimulates bowel movements, helping stool move faster and become softer.
**Dosage**
- Usually taken **at night** for effect the next morning.
- Start with the **lowest dose** and adjust if needed.
- Do **not exceed the maximum recommended dose**.
- Doses vary by **age** and **formulation** (tablet, oral solution, concentrated solution).
**Common side effects**
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal pain or cramps
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Dizziness
- Fainting
**Do not use if you have**
- Intestinal obstruction or ileus
- Severe abdominal pain with fever/nausea/vomiting
- Acute inflammatory bowel disease
- Severe dehydration
- Allergy to sodium picosulfate
**Warnings**
- Overuse can cause **fluid/electrolyte imbalance** and **low potassium**

**Interactions**
