Ketorolac Tromethamine is a highly potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) belonging to the heteroaryl acetic acid derivative family, utilized primarily for the short-term management of moderate to severe acute pain. Its primary mechanism of action involves the non-selective inhibition of cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzymes, which halts the biosynthesis of prostaglandins—the lipid mediators responsible for inflammation, pain, and fever.
