Dosage & AdministrationThe usual starting dose of mirogabalin for adults is 5 mg taken orally twice a day. The dose is then gradually increased by 5 mg at intervals of at least one week, up to 15 mg twice daily. Depending on the patient’s age and symptoms, the dose may be adjusted within the range of 10 mg to 15 mg twice daily. Always take this medicine according to your doctor’s instructions. InteractionsMirogabalin does not affect cytochrome P450 enzymes. However, taking it together with cimetidine or probenecid may increase its levels in the blood. Combining it with alcohol or lorazepam can enhance its sedative effects on the central nervous system. ContraindicationsThis medicine should not be used in patients who are allergic to mirogabalin or those with mild to moderate liver or kidney impairment. Side EffectsCommon side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, swelling (edema), and weight gain. In rare cases, more serious symptoms may occur, such as extreme drowsiness, impaired consciousness, fainting, general weakness, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, or jaundice. If any severe symptoms appear, stop taking the medicine and seek medical attention immediately. Precautions & WarningsMirogabalin may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or even loss of consciousness, so avoid driving or operating heavy machinery while using it. Extra caution is needed in elderly patients. It may also lead to weight gain, blurred vision, or double vision. Storage ConditionsStore the medicine in a dry place below 30°C, away from light and moisture, and keep it out of reach of children.
